Anita Jardine's Banned

Friday 7th September

This gypsy swings. "The sweetest voice and the sharpest lyrics"

We are pleased to welcome   the return of one of The Big Green Cardigan darlings but this time with a new full band line up in a late night setting. From her first appearance in the smoky jazz environs of the Colony Club in London's Soho at the age of 15, to taking Hastings Fat Tuesday celebrations by storm in 2017, Anita remains unique and authentic. A songwriter who remains true to her heart, delivers with soul and is unbowed by industry trends. Originally a classically trained pianist, Anita took to the guitar like a duck to water in recent years and has since rocked the not so free world with her captivating melodies and infectious rhythms.
Her worldwide appearances have led to musical connections being forged at large in the UK, US, Canada, Eastern and Western Europe, Thailand, Australia, New Zealand, Bali and Panama.
Anita has played solo and in collaboration at numerous festivals in the UK and internationally and has gained a reputation for winning the hearts of audiences wherever she goes. She is renowned for creating an intimate atmosphere and engaging audiences.

"Noboby can make me laugh, sing along and give me a big lump in my throat like Anita Jardine'
David Francis, Hastings Arts Activist
